PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical panel with improved anti-cracking strength of a glass substrate by removing the chipping of the glass substrate occurring during the production process of a liquid crystal panel, and to provide a holding structure of the electro-optical panel, an electro-optical device, a method of manufacturing the electro-optical panel and a method of manufacturing the electro-optical device.;SOLUTION: After a chamfering treatment (step S7) of at least a part of the corner part of a pair of glass substrates cemented with a sealing material, a liquid crystal panel is manufactured by a etching treatment (step S8). The chamfering treatment removes chips of the glass substrates and sharp corners at acute angles; the etching treatment removes minute chips caused by the chamfering treatment; further, the liquid crystal panel is provided with roundness at the outer peripheral corner parts; and the liquid crystal panel has improved strength.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
