PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation apparatus for a multicomponent copolymerization reaction capable of calculating the polymerization condition of even a multicomponent reaction.;SOLUTION: At the initial stage, in the middle of and/or after the completion of the reaction, the charged concentrations of a raw monomer Ma, a polymerization initiator Ib, a chain transfer agent Ad and a solvent Sg charged to the reaction system are calculated within a small time interval dt under constant or varied temperature polymerization condition under the assumption of the constant reaction within the interval dt. The charged concentration of each raw material, the consumed concentrations of the monomer and the chain transfer agent, the composition of the monomer in the case of consuming the chain transfer agent, the density of the copolymer and the density of the reaction liquid are calculated in the interval dt. The concentration of each component after the interval dt is calculated from the charged concentration and consumed concentration in the interval dt. The calculation result is used as the concentration of each component of the subsequent small time interval dt and the procedure is repeated to the end of the polymerization condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
