PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magenta toner which is excellent in electrostatic charge stability even after outputting tens of thousands of sheets of pictures under circumstances of high temperature and high humidity after prolonged storing in circumstances of high temperature and high humidity and in which there is little toner of weak electrification and reverse electrification and toner scattering does not occur. PSOLUTION: The magenta toner for developing electrostatic charge image containing at least a binder resin and a magenta colorant. As the magenta colorant, both of a compound expressed by formula (1) and a compound expressed by formula (2) are contained and further number average particle size of colorant particles in the toner is 10-500 nm.
