PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a business-to-business accepting and ordering system and a method therefor that ensure the further efficient and appropriate filling of a vending machine with articles.;SOLUTION: The business-to-business accepting and ordering system comprises an order placement system 1575 for placing an order for a batch of articles with which a plurality of vending machines 1101 are filled, and an order accepting system 1572 connected to the order placement system 1575 via a network 1157 to ship articles in response to the order placement. The order placement system 1575 comprises a vending machine information acquisition part 1004 for acquiring inventory information about the vending machines 1101, a filling plan creation part 1005 for creating a filling plan specifying an article filling date and filling counts for each of the plurality of vending machines, and an order placement decision part 1563 for creating order placement data specifying a shipping date, shipping articles and shipping counts for each vending machine according to the created filling plan. The order accepting system 1572 acquires the order placement data from the order placement system 1575 to ship articles on a vending machine basis according to the order placement data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
