PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of signal delay simulation also considering a wiring capacity between a dummy pattern and signal wiring in examining circuit operation.;SOLUTION: A layout processing means 261 arranges the dummy pattern which does not function as a circuit in layout design processing data. A load information extracting means 262 extracts load information existing between the dummy pattern, and other wiring arranged in the periphery and a conductor and semiconductor of a substrate. A load information providing means 263 provides load information existing in a periphery of the extracted dummy pattern to a connection node corresponding to circuit connection information. A potential information adding means 264 adds information indicating a power supply potential or a ground potential to a node corresponding to a connection point of the dummy pattern among the provided load information. A circuit simulation device 3 executes the signal delay simulation by using the equivalent circuit model for simulation considering the dummy pattern obtained in the above way.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
