PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain excellent toughness not only in a base material but also in a weld heat affected zone even when ultrahigh heat input welding in which welding heat input exceeds 600kJ/cm is performed to high strength steel having a tensile strength of ≥570MPa.;SOLUTION: High strength steel having a tensile strength of ≥570MPa is subjected to regulation of components so that an Ac4 point to form an (α+γ)2 phase in a high temperature region from a γ single phase exists in ≤1,400°C, and the structure of the weld heat-affected zone consists of a bainite single phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
