PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow precise image recognition for a nozzle hole or the like under the condition where a functional liquid is filled. PSOLUTION: In this image recognition method for the nozzle hole for image-picking up the nozzle hole 53 of a liquid drop delivery head 20 under the condition where the functional liquid is filled, so as to recognize an image provided therein, the image of the nozzle hole 53 is picked up synchronized with an impression to the liquid drop delivery head 20 of a driving waveform for vibrating finely a meniscus face of the nozzle hole 53 with a single period.
