PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ES(embryonic stem) cell line having reproductive line cell differentiation ability derived from versatile inbred line mouse C57BL/6, to provide chimeric mouse obtained using the cell line, a method for establishing the cell line, and a method for creating the chimeric mouse.;SOLUTION: The method for establishing the ES cell line comprises the following steps: embryos after insemination but prior to blastocyst formation are collected from inbred line female mouse C57BL/6 and cultured in a medium for ES cells in vitro embryos developed to blastcyst stage are separated from the cultured embryos and inoculated into a feeder cell medium and cultured in the medium, cell aggregation grown up in an ES-like form is collected from the cultured embryos and subjected to dispersion treatment using a trypsin-containing medium for ES cells and the resultant cells are subjected to subculture using a feeder cell medium and the medium for ES cells, thus establishing the ES cell line having reproductive line cell differentiation ability derived from versatile inbred line mouse C57BL/6.
