PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of executing efficient effluent treatment.;SOLUTION: The treatment apparatus has a treatment unit 30 comprising cylindrical catalyst modules 2 and a treatment bath 40 housing one or two or more catalyst modules 2. Each catalyst module 2 in the treatment unit 30 has an effluent guide part 4, which is an effluent inflow channel open downward and directing an effluent upward, and a catalyst part 10, which is arranged to encircle the effluent guide part 3 and has a fibrous activated carbon layer 12 so that the effluent inside the effluent guide part 4 passes through the catalyst part 10 to discharge. The catalyst modules 2 communicate with an effluent supply side outside the treatment bath 40 via the openings, which allows the effluent from the effluent supply side to be supplied to the catalyst parts 10. The treatment bath 40 stores the treated effluent discharged from the catalyst modules, and drains the treated effluent to the outside when the stored treated effluent reaches a prescribed level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
