PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration control device capable of properly performing vibration control for a pole etc., serving as a long column provided in a base-isolated expressway etc., without providing the vibration control with directivity. PSOLUTION: The vibration control device is composed of a spherical rolling-type damper 20 whose outer periphery has a rolling contact surface 22 and which is rolled around a center, and a rolling guide 21 with a concave guide surface 23 which allows the rolling of the damper 20. In the vibration control device, either of the surface 22 of the damper 20 and the guide surface 23 of the rolling guide 21 is constituted as a nondeformed surface, and the other one of them is deformed so as to be constituted as a surface which is composed of a damping material capable of dissipating energy.
