PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately measure a geometry even on a narrow runner such as interference between a separation gage and a measuring person exists.;SOLUTION: The geometry is easily and accurately measured without using a CCD camera or the like even on the narrow runner such as the interference between the separation gage 6 (6a-6c) and the measuring person exists by using a plurality of the separation gages 6 (6a-6c) different in a length to add the separation gages 6 (6a-6c) for measurement. In other words, at first the shortest separation gage 16a is set on a gage base 7, and a range up to L1 is measured by using the separation gage 16a. When the length cannot be measured with the separation gage 16a, the separation gage 16a is exchanged for a separation gage 16b, a range of L2 is measured by using the separation gage 16b. Furthermore, when the length cannot be measured with the separation gage 16b, the separation gage 16b is exchanged for a separation gage 16c, a range of L3 is measured by using the separation gage 16c.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
