Mole trap has handle and peg for planting in ground so that washer rests on molehill, mole pushing washer vertically to tip lever and release spike and enter hole to kill mole
The mole trap has a handle (1) by which it is held to plant the peg (2) into the ground so that the washer (8) rests on the molehill. When the animal pushes the earth from its gallery it pushes the washer vertically which then tips the lever (4) and releases the spike support (5) which by means of a spring (9) forces the spike (6) into the mole's hole and kills it.
