A hybrid arc-laser welding torch (1) is formed from a modular assembly made up of: (a) a torch body (21) with inlet (22) and outlet (23) orifices connected by an internal laser beam passage (24); (b) a mechanism (20) for fixing, directly or indirectly, the torch body to a laser focusing head; (c) a reception mechanism (30, 31) for a nozzle block (11) and an electrode block (10); (d) a welding nozzle block incorporating a MIG/MAG, TIG or plasma welding nozzle (41); (e) an electrode block incorporating a TIG, MIG/MAG or plasma welding electrode (40). Independent claims are also included for: (a) a hybrid laser-arc welding installation; (b) utilisation of a hybrid welding torch for welding automobile body elements.
