Automobile sharing data processing system uses a server containing data about journeys and persons willing to vehicle share, server can be accessed by telecommunication devices
Uses telecommunication server (1) having memory (7) designed to store a number of multiplets having first or second identifier of previously inscribed vehicle sharer and an auxiliary identifier. Some of the multiplets include first data representing at least first or second journey. The first server can be called by first (2) and second (3) telecommunication means via third identifier. A management unit (8) determines the identifier of the caller and extracts data for a journey.. Automobile sharing data processing system including: (a) a telecommunication server (1) designed to exchange data with a number of first (2) and second (3) telecommunication devices linked by first and second identifiers and respectively associated with first vehicle sharers wishing to do first journeys and with second car sharers wanting to effect second journeys with their own vehicles (V), and including a manager (8) designed to receive a vehicle sharing request for a first or second journey emanating from the first (2) or second (3) telecommunication devices, so as to; compare the representative data for the first or second journey requested with data representative of second or forts journeys associated with at least a partially common time interval in order to determine, from route data, at least an eventual part of a sensibly common journey; addressing a request for sharing to second (3) or first (2) telecommunication device of a sharer who is to make a second or first journey having a common part with the first or second requested journey within a common time interval; in the case of sharing acceptance, transmit to the devices (2,3) data representing the time and place for a rendezvous, and; in the case of receipt of a validation message for vehicle sharing transmitted by the first (2) and/or second device (3) confirm the sharing with an insurer.
