The overflow or control valve has a valve cone (6) spring-loaded closed on a valve seat (1.3), and with a spring (8) fitted in the upper section (2) of the valve. An adjusting device with a handwheel (14) for the manual adjustment of the spring force is also fitted in the upper section of the valve. The handwheel has an adjusting spindle (3) which on its section facing the valve cone has a spring housing (3.2) and is adjustable by means of a male threaded section (3.1) in a female threaded section of the valve's upper section.
