The glue application roller has a base (3) of plastic, for example, with a bore to accommodate and stabilize the glue bottle cap (2), two side sections (4) with two holes to accommodate the axle (9) of the roller (6), and a roller of plastic, for example, to accommodate the glue application pile with a central hole for fitting purposes. A short hair pile which may be formed from carpet remnants is used for glue application.
