The device has a housing for several cells and a block lid with upper and lower lids, a gas chamber for acid separation between them divided into a number of hollow volumes corresponding to the number of cells, at least one degassing opening and a filling opening per cell in the lower lid. Filling opening stoppers have degassing channels dimensioned so that for temporary tilting no more acid escapes than can be accommodated by the hollow volumes. The device has a housing containing several cells and a block lid with upper and lower lids with a gas chamber for acid separation between them divided into a number of hollow volumes (3-8) corresponding to the number of cells, with at least one degassing opening and a filling opening (9-14) per cell in the lower lid (1). Stoppers for the filling openings contain degassing channels leading from the cells to the hollow volumes dimensioned so that for temporary tilting no more acid escapes than can be accommodated by the hollow volumes.
