The pressure accumulator houses a metal bellows (2) dividing the housing (1) of the accumulator into two chambers, one (3) holding gas and the other (4) holding liquid. A third chamber (7) of constant volume filled with liquid is provided in the housing and is bounded by the bellows and the piston (5) of the accumulator. A hydraulic connection exists between the second and third chambers and has a valve unit (8) which is controlled by the movement of the piston.
