Heart conduit attachment apparatus, comprises coring tool portion and conduit end contained within sealed enclosure and sewing cuff affixed to enclosure facilitating attachment of apparatus to heart
The apparatus (15) has a sealed enclosure (27) adapted for attachment to a wall of a heart or a blood vessel. A coring tool (21) with a portion contained in the enclosure creates an opening through the wall. A conduit (24) end enclosed within the enclosure is attached to the wall at the opening. Sewing cuff (18) affixed to the enclosure facilitates attachment of the apparatus to the heart. An Independent claim is also included for a method of attaching a conduit to a wall of a heart and a blood vessel.
