Leak detection device, especially for use in waste water pipe systems, comprises a piston and cylinder arrangement for applying a constant force to a water filled test chamber formed over the suspect or test pipe length
Device for detecting leaks in a pipe system comprises two sealing bodies (9) that can be pressed against the pipe walls (15) to form a test chamber (14). The chamber is filled with liquid and a cylinder (23) is connected to the chamber via a line (22). A constant force is applied to a piston (24) and movement of the piston is measured over a given time. The leak rate is determined from the measured movement.
