Detecting/locating 3-phase network earth shorts, short circuits involves using criterion to decide if current detected fault will be displayed instead of or in addition to currently displayed fault(s)
The method involves detecting and indicating a fault, maintaining fault detection after detecting and indicating the first fault and carrying out a display decision step on detecting a further fault. A display decision criterion is used to decide whether the current detected fault will be displayed instead of or in addition to the currently displayed fault(s) or whetrher the current display is maintained. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: an arrangement for detecting and/or locating earth shorts and short circuits in 3-phase networks with at least temporarily inductively earthed star points.
