The high-speed train system has a double-storey track rail provided by upper and lower guidance systems (4) and upper and lower travel rails (12,11), along which drive and guidance units (2) positioned above and below the rail vehicle (1) are displaced. The rail vehicle can be fed along the upper travel rail in one direction and along the lower travel rail in the opposite direction.
