Molding composition containing polyarylether sulfone and an impact modifying rubber useful in production of shaped parts, films, fibers or foams, household articles, electronic parts, medical equipment, and automobile parts
A molding composition containing (wt.%): (A) at least one polyarylether sulfone (33-99), (B) at least one polyarylene ether sulfone containing, relative to the total wt. of component B, units derived from 1,1,1-tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane (0.1-10), (C) filler (0-60), (D) an impact modifying rubber (0-40), and (E) one or more additives (0-40), where the total wt. of components A to E = 100% is new. A molding composition containing (wt.%): (A) at least one polyarylether sulfone obtained from difunctional monomer units (33-99); (B) at least one polyarylene ether sulfone containing, relative to the total wt. of component B, units derived from 1,1,1-tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane (0.1-10); (C) filler (0-60); (D) an impact modifying rubber (0-40); and (E) one or more additives (0-40), where the total wt. of components A to E = 100% is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of the molding composition by mixing components A to E; (2) shaped parts, films, fibers or foams obtained from the molding composition (claimed); (3) shaped parts, films, fibers or foams as constituents of household articles, electronic parts, medical equipment, or automobile parts (claimed).
