Device for purifying exhaust gases on diesel engine testing stands comprises a suction unit for introducing the exhaust gas to a dry dust filter system, and a purification unit for purifying the dry dust filter system
Device for purifying exhaust gases on diesel engine testing stands (2) comprises a suction unit (4) for introducing the exhaust gas to a dry dust filter system (5) containing a dry dust filter (5a) on which a dry additive forming a filtering auxiliary aid for removing pollutants from the gas is deposited; and a purification unit for purifying the dry dust filter system. Preferred Features: The dry dust filter system has a dry dust filter formed as filter tubes made from polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) or filter cartridges or filter pockets. The dry additive is made from lime powder and is introduced in the exhaust gas stream fed to the dry dust filter system, preferably using a dosing unit. The dry dust filter system is integrated into a heat-insulated filter housing (6) which is temperature-regulated. A nozzle system (14) is integrated in the filter housing.
