Internet or intranet based sales system whereby input tools are used to assign bonus points or values to products with corresponding validity periods for the points. The points system can be applied to a number of suppliers in a virtual multi-shop. A customer has a corresponding display system that allows points to be viewed, allows querying of incorrect points allocations and allows a supplier to compose a virtual shopping trip.
