The method for treating a tooth involves insertion of a slender, fracture resistant pin (S) into the root cavity (M) which is not first artificially widened, or is only sectionally widened. Also claimed is a pin for implementation of the proposed method. Such a pin comprises one or more fibers with high tensile and flexural stiffnesses.
