Two-part brake disc with noise damper element for motor vehicles has radial spring-shaped securing ring to compensate for axial heat expansion of brake disc friction ring and holder part
The brake disc has positively connection friction ring (1) and holder part (2). Ring and holder part are decoupled via a peripheral damper element. This consists of at least one load-supporting ring and ring-shaped damper material connected to it. A spring-shaped securing ring (3) secures friction ring and holder part against displacement in axial direction. The securing ring is fitted into a groove in the holder part, which is a brake disc hub or wheel hub, and consists of light-weight material. The friction ring is of a metal-ceramic compound.
