FIELD: processing of industrial waste. SUBSTANCE: proposed technology deals with processing of tailings of diamond mining industry and screenings of accompanying ores with complex utilization of mineral matter. According to first variant technology to process tailings of diamond mining industry includes their roasting, roasting of waste-slurry and/or sand-silt stone rocks carrying no sulfur and phosphorus impurities in presence of additives in two stages ( at first stage at temperature 250-600 C, at second stage at temperature of 900-1200 C ). Straw oil or lignin or waste of cellulose industry in the amount of 0.5-10.0 per cent by mass are used in the capacity of additives. In agreement with second variant technology processing tailings of diamond mining industry includes their roasting, roasting of waste- slurry and/or sand-silt stone rocks carrying no sulfur and phosphorus impurities at temperature of 750-950 C together with iron ore concentrate with proportion, per cent by mass, of above-mentioned waste 0.5-2.0; iron ore concentrate 98.0-99.5.
