FIELD: medicine, gynecology. SUBSTANCE: vaginal uterine extirpation is performed, bilateral lateral colpotomies are carried out. One should detect cardial and sacral-uterine ligaments. The former should be replaced onto opposite sides. Ligaments are placed cruciformly. Proximal ends of ligaments should be fixed to tendinous arches of pelvic fascia. Sacral-uterine ligaments are shortened up and placed cruciformly to be replaced onto opposite sides. Proximal ends of sacral-uterine ligaments are fixed with sutures towards cardinal ones. Colpopexy is carried out to cardinal, sacral-uterine ligaments and tendinous arches of pelvic fascia. EFFECT: more reliable fixation of vaginal stump.
