PURPOSE: A process of preparing the subject warp knitted fabric by using a surface structure yarn containing a dope-dyed component is provided which can omit a dyeing process and produces a warp knitted fabric improved in lightfastness, washfastness, touch feeling and repulsive elasticity. CONSTITUTION: The warp knitted fabric is prepared by using a sea-island type conjugate fiber having a single yarn fineness of 0.001 to 0.3 denier as a surface structure yarn, a spandex elastic yarn as a medium structure yarn and a high shrinkage yarn having a single yarn fineness of 0.001 to 0.3 denier as a backing structure yarn, wherein a sea-island type conjugate fiber comprising a fiber-forming component containing 0.1 to 15% by weight of a component selected from carbon black, pigment and dye, and an elution component as an alkali readily soluble polymer is used as the surface structure yarn.
