- Expression of a heterologous polypeptide in renal tissue of transgenic non-human mammals using promoter for tamm-horsfall uromodulin protein
PURPOSE: Expression of heterologous polypeptide in a kidney tissue of a transgenic mammal except human by using Tamm-Horsfall uromodulin protein is provided to induce idiosyncratic expression of kidney cells in a transgenic mammal of heterogous gene by using uromodulin gene promoter of a mouse or a cow. CONSTITUTION: In a transgenic mammal excluding human containing a genome comprising a DNA construct comprised of the bovine uromodulin promoter and the DNA sequence coding a heterologous protein in a co-activable state, the promoter is characterized by comprising a hexane selected from a sequence list. The promoter comprises BamHl-Pstl(from -3878 to +47) segment of about 3.9 kb developed in an upstream direction of intron 1 defined as 5286 th base of a bovine uromodulin gene DNA base sequence.
