PURPOSE: A wide band E-shaped slot patch antenna is provided to achieve improved quality of communication service and improved wide band characteristics by arranging a U-shaped slot between slots. CONSTITUTION: A wide band E-shaped slot patch antenna(20) comprises a plurality of slots(210,211); a notch type U-shaped slot(202) formed on a radiation element(200) for radiating the RF signal transmitted to a feed point(300) of the E-shaped slot patch antenna from an RF signal processing unit, wherein the U-shaped slot controls the flow of the RF signal; the feed point arranged between slots, and which transmits the RF signal output from the RF signal processing unit to the antenna; a short pin(201) for changing the characteristic impedance of the antenna by maintaining a predetermined distance from the feed point, and which is interposed between the radiation element and a grounding surface(100) so as to reduce the size of the radiation element; the radiation element for radiating the RF signal for coupling the feed point and the short pin.
