PURPOSE: A culturing method of stentor roselii which is a natural enemy against freshwater algae is provided to reduce a green tide of freshwater algae due to abnormal proliferation of micro-algae by the natural enemy like a stentor roselii. CONSTITUTION: Collected water of stentor roselii is filtered on the condition of between twenty and twenty five degrees centigrade, one and five lumen micro and used as a culture medium for successive culture of stentor roselii. Blue-green algae is supplied as a source of supply of food. Aphanothece sp. is desirable as the optimum source of supply of food. Predatory work of freshwater micro-algae increases when micro-algae is cultured in a laboratory. Thereby, green tide due to proliferation of micro-algae is reduced by the natural enemy like the stentor roselii.
