PURPOSE: A routing method based on packet delay is provided to allow application layers of dispersed nodes to measure the packet delay between the nodes when transmitting packets in real time, so as to search the shortest delay path to a destination. CONSTITUTION: In an initializing step(S1), a re-routing interval that is a cycle of deciding a new routing path is set and information on entire gateways is prepared. In a one-way DT(Delay Time) measuring step(S2), each gateway measures DTs with all other gateways. In a one-way DT table forming step(S3), the gateways exchange the measured DTs with each other, to produce a table for DT delay information in each gateway according to gateways. In a one-way average DT calculating step(S4), an average DT during the set re-routing interval is calculated. And in a path deciding step(S5), a path having the least DT is searched in compliance with a certain algorithm.
