PURPOSE: To provide an Internet appliance server (IA server) and a method and a program for managing environmental information of an Internet appliance client (IA client), by managing the environment of the IA client adapted to a service provided by an ASP (application service provider) and the IA client while making them correspond to each other so as to provide a fine service for the IA client from the ASP. CONSTITUTION: This IA server is connected to the IA client and the ASP via a network. The server is provided with an environmental information storing means for storing environmental information including an operating system or an application program executed at the IA client, an environment changing information obtaining means for obtaining environment changing information including a changing part related to the environmental information from the ASP, and an environment changing information analyzing means for analyzing the environment changing information obtained by the environment changing information obtaining means based on the environmental information stored in the environmental information storing means.
