PURPOSE: A civil engineering work system and method, and auto-cad method is provided to obtain economical and time advantages by performing an auto-cad directly in the field of construction and allowing for an immediate re-survey if needed. CONSTITUTION: A civil engineering work system comprises an electro-optical measurement unit(20) for measuring coordinates of each reference point of field and transmitting the result of measurement to a personal computer(30); the personal computer for receiving coordinates data from the electro-optical measurement unit, performing an auto-cad based on parameters input by an operator, transmitting coordinates data to a remote computer(50) through a cellular phone(40) if the result of plotting is satisfactory, and requesting the electro-optical measurement unit to re-send coordinates data if the result of plotting is not satisfactory; and the remote computer for performing design work by using coordinates data received from the personal computer.
