The procedure for clamping a workpiece for machining with the aid of six reference points has each of the reference points formed by a rod (2) of a rigid material such as a metal carbide, surrounded by a composition material (3) with sufficient elasticity to adapt to the contours of the workpiece surface in the contact zone, and rigid enough to withstand locking forces of 1 - 10 Nm.
