A method, system, and program for achieving an intention or automatically creating design knowledge, characterized in that unit information group consisting of a skeleton of a child concept including verbs and a processing logic acting on the skeleton is retrieved by using, as index, the verbs contained in a data flow chart of a parent concept and information such as input for specifying a parent concept, output, prestate, poststate, and preceding parent concept, a data flow chart of a child concept is created by applying the retrieved processing logic and information used as the index to the skeleton contained in the retrieved unit information, and thereby the data flow chart of the parent concept is hierarchically developed on the data flow chart of the child concept. The system is characterized by comprising means for mutual communication between a CASE tool group including a CASE tool for data flow chart and a CASE tool unit for flow chart or structurizing chart and an engine group including an automatic creating engine for automatically creating design knowledge and a knowledge base unit so as to performing automatic designing.
