Process for the protection of a document against forgery and document protected against forgery.Describes a process to protect a document (1), particularly a cheque or similar document, against forgery.That includes printing on the document body (1) at least one first area (2) of encoded data and at least one second area (4) composed of microletters.Which are printed on the document in a personalized way with respect to the holder of the document or the object.Preferably, the data of said first area (2) are encoded by a system of graphic signs arranged to form binary code, readable by computer.The invention also includes a document protected against forgery, made according to this process.
