PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program advance notice system by which a user can view a desired program from the beginning even with a small recording capacity and to provide a program advance notice method, a program advance notice program and a computer-readable recording medium.;SOLUTION: In the program advance notice system 10 of this invention, a program ID extract section 20 extracts a start program ID and a schedule program ID included in program information and stores them respectively to a start program ID storage section 12 and a schedule program ID storage section 14 and the IDs are updated at program changes. When a user designates a program, a program designation section 22 reads the stored start ID and a designated program ID storage section 16 stores the ID as a designated program ID. Then a program advance notice section 24 collates the stored schedule program ID and designated program ID every time the program changes, and the start of the program is noticed in advance on the basis of the result, then the user can easily sense the start of the designated program and can view the program from the beginning.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
