PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize even paper outputted as blank paper out of paper to be recycled even though the paper to be recycled is not manually sorted in the case of recycling the paper passing through an image forming apparatus.;SOLUTION: A sensor 22 detects a stain exists on both sides of the paper to be recycled which is fed from a paper feeding cassette 5. In the case of detecting that the stain exists only on one side of the paper, an image is formed by an effective image forming means 24 only on the side where the existence of the stain is not detected, and in the case of detecting that no stain exists on both sides of the paper, image forming processing is not performed and the paper is accumulated in a back paper tray 7. In the case of detecting that the stain exists on both sides of the paper, processing for the paper which has passed through the image forming apparatus and which is to be recycled is controlled so that the paper is discarded to a discard tray 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
