PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pavement capable of both permeable/draining and water retentive, properties achievable at a lower cost than before and able to keep its surface cold for a long time, and a method for its work execution.;SOLUTION: The pavement comprises an asphalt mixture layer in part of the clearances of which a water retentive material is filled, with the remaining clearances communicating through the upper surface with lower and/or side surfaces thereof, a water reservoir provided below the layer and surrounded with a waterproof material at the bottom and side surface thereof, and a water supply means provided to supply water to the water reservoir. In this system, the water retentive material is preferably the one that can be cured by adding water and can display water retention ability after it is solidified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
