PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a wireless terminal belonging to a different sub-network to function under the management of one wireless repeater. ;SOLUTION: A layer 3 type wireless repeater 4 connected to a LAN trunk line is constituted so as to deliver/receive packets to/from wireless terminals 7a-7g via a cable-connection type wireless repeater 5, wireless connection type wireless repeaters 6A and 6B. Any of these repeaters 4, 5, 6A and 6B remove tags from packets if the packets are tagged in transmitting the received packets to the terminals 7a-7g under their management. In transferring the packets, the repeaters determine whether or not VLAN identifiers must be added, and add the identifiers to the packets if necessary to transfer the packets.
