PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform treatment where fine-grained dust collected from a converter gas is compacted into a raw material compact, and the compact is subjected to reducing-dezincing treatment by a rotary hearth type reducing furnace. SOLUTION: Dust collected from a converter gas is made into a state where the content of moisture is 5 to 16 mass%, and the content of metallic iron is 8 to 35 mass%, and iron oxide-containing powder and carbon-containing powder are mixed therein to produce a compact. This compact is subjected to reducing-dezincing at the inside of a rotary hearth type reducing furnace 10. At this time, the compacting method and the reducing method are contrived, and the reducing treatment is efficiently performed.
