PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for classifying a plant individual by a non- destructive measurement method, and to provide the classified product. SOLUTION: This method for classifying the plant individual comprises applying a mating treatment, a radiation treatment, a chemical substance treatment or the like to a plant seed or vegetative organs to induce a genetic mutation, non-destructively measuring the seed or vegetative organs by an optical means for each individual, when a genetic character is expressed, and determining content ingredients from the analysis results of the optical spectra according to a computer program. Thus, the individual having the target specific ingredient can non-destructively be classified, and can be used as a kind and breeding raw material having the specific character.
