METHOD FOR SETTING LONGITUDE SCALE FOR MAP OF DIFFERENT LONGITUDE INTERVAL AND METHOD FOR SPECIFYING KNOWN LONGITUDE/LATITUDE COORDINATE ON MAP AND DEVICE USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device in which the difference of the interval of longitude due to the difference of latitude can be adjusted and a detailed value of latitude and longitude can be read on a map and GPS digital data can be specified on a map with a single ruler. ;SOLUTION: A transparent plate is put a scale mark in the horizontal direction equally divided making the whole length the same as the longest rough longitude interval, and each end of the mark is defined as a base point A and an end point C of a longitude ruler. Meanwhile, the base point A of a latitude ruler with a scale mark in the vertical direction equally dividing the rough latitude interval is placed on the base point A of the longitude scale on a rough longitude line of a map. By rotating the longitude ruler around the base point A and fixing it in the position where the end point C coincides with the rough longitude line of the map, the longitude and latitude of the map area can be read in detail.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
