PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire pneumatic pressure drop detecting method for improving the detecting accuracy of pressure drop in each tire by determining whether pressure in four wheel tires drops or not. ;SOLUTION: The tire pneumatic pressure drop detecting method for detecting pneumatic pressure drop in the tire using a determined value obtained in accordance with rotational information from the tire mounted on a vehicle comprises the steps of detecting the rotational information for each tire, of storing the rotational information for each tire, of computing a lateral acceleration from the rotational information for each tire, and of comparing the computed lateral acceleration with a lateral acceleration measured by a lateral acceleration sensor provided in the vehicle to determine the pneumatic pressure drop in each tire.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
