PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to intuitively grasp the shape of a stent, and to design a stent model which matches the shape of an anatomical body tubular cavity of each patient while a relation to the peripheral organs is taken under consideration. PSOLUTION: A body axis tomographic image which is formed based on a three- dimensional tomographic image of a patient is displayed on a monitor (S2). Then, selected points are designated on an anatomical body tubular cavity where a stent is made to reside and which is displayed on the body axis tomographic image (S3). Then, a multi-directional reconstructed image (MPR) is displayed on the monitor (S6), and on the MPR, the selected points, an interpolating point which interpolates the selected points, and a central axis L for a stent model which connects respective points are displayed (S8). Then, an operator performs a correction in such a manner that the central axis L may match the center of the anatomical body tubular cavity by moving the central axis L on the MPR (S9). Then, a cylindrical stent model with the central axis L as a center is displayed on the anatomical body tubular cavity (S10), and at the same time, a three-dimensional image is displayed (S11).
