PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize vector quantization capable of adaptive countermeasures, including a predictive function for temporally changing various kinds of information, and to provide a demodulation means which is adaptively compatible with Doppler effects and nonlinearity in a receiver of communication. ;SOLUTION: These methods provide the method for processing temporally changing information by using a self-organized map, and the self-organized map is a predictive self-organized map for conducting adaptive vector quantization, on the basis of a weight equivalent to a signal value and a weight equivalent a time differentiated signal, and relate to a reception method for communication, characterized in adopting this information processing method and the weight equivalent time differentiated signal is preferably time differentiated value of phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
