PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fumigating agent for a biological specimen without affecting its gene, and a method for preserving the biological specimen by using the same.;SOLUTION: This fumigating agent containing an alkyl iodide for the biological specimen and a method for preserving the biological specimen characterized by the fumigation by using the fumigating agent containing the alkyl iodide are provided. Since the fumigating agent and method for the preservation have a high biocidal characteristic and also exhibit an extremely low gene harming rate, it makes possible to analyze genes after preserving animals or plants as the specimens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
